AiN - "Avalon Is New" or: "Am I Nuts ?" - to launch yet another clothing label? I still feel there is a gap that needs to be filled. with AiN i try to connect the streetwearstyles with the surf - and snowlifestyle-clothing and add some fashion design to it. with my background of architecture, a passion for construction and the lines that result from it, i focus on cuts and fits. The collections photo series of black and white images is a homage to those lines and cuts. most of the garments consist of two or more colors to create new interessting contrasts. we want to thank our good friend and photographer erwin polanc and our great models steffi, janine, julie and mara for their motivation! you make a hard job look easy...!

welcome to AIN: „avalon is new“! | | we only change the name but keep the style! this years summer collection consists of some very extravagant but at the same time very simple straight pieces. for example we have two overalls one of which was a piece of my final work for fashion school in june2010. the other one is our „classic“ the soft pants to which I added a very feminine top. for the first time in our summer collection we present a windbreaker and two longsleeved cotton jackets for the cooler days or evenings. aside from strong bright colors I used a lot of different hues of grey probably another thing I picked up at fashion school where everybody was into grey (and nude). Allover prints are reduced to one color and delicate lines heading into a new direction away from the everywhere seen color overloaded full prints. for the photoshooting we went out into nature only with Mara one of the coolest and most creative girls around, a fellow surfergirl and beautiful in every sense. Hopefully next year we can see her artwork on some of my pieces, she already did a pattern two years back and is constantly sketching and doodling. Erwin did the pics again with lots of devotion and attention to detail. he just graduated from his threeyear college for photography and fine arts and already moved on to the next level of his education. thank you two for all your effort and also thanks to my man who's supporting me in every possible way! xxx ine | | |

OUR 2ND WINTER ONLY COLLECTION | | again it is a very colorful collection because even if it's winter, my motto is that there need to be clothes to cheer you up! we shot the pictures in a deserted old window frame factory which unfortunately by now has been demolished to make way for fancy new office buildings. it was very cold that day but the girls were great as always; thank you mara, klara, kathi, valentina and krüml (the dog)! this collection is a very sporty girlie one with lots of ruffles and fine details. some of the prints repeat either on big parts or on smaller details such as hood or sleeve linings. the „flying cat“ logo embroidery is also back like on the summers collection, you'll find it on almost any garment here. a big thank you goes out to erwin polanc again for all the energy you have when you shoot the pics! getting better every time - always wanting to improve! we really appreciate it! | | |

This is our 2nd summer only collection!As we love colors, it turned out to be very colorful again focusing on mainly natural fibres as always. There's again some pieces that can be worn in several different ways - a passion of mine, trying to find styles that work as well on the upper body as on the lower body. This time we chose an indoor location we could style at our special needs. First time to put up wallpaper and having a professional stylist take care of the make up to have the girls look like puppets. Thanks very much to Marie for that - she's also one of our models along with: Alex, Klara and Mara - thank you so much all of you, you always make our shootings fun and easy! Another big thank you goes out to: Erwin Polanc for the pics, Elisabeth for letting us remodel one room of her old house and the great old rocking chair, Lisa for the old lamp, my classmate Susi and her Grandpa for organising and lending us all the stuff for putting up wallpaper - it stuck to the wall and ceiling just long enough...! enjoy!
